  • The potential of Bavaria’s capital is shown on 20m²: On a scale of 1:500 the Munich city model not only shows the Olympic Park created for the 1972 Summer Games with the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Tower, Olympic Village and other sports facilities, but also parts of the surrounding area.

    For the presentation of the green areas, several thousand trees were planted by hand on the sixteen individual panels.

  • The cinematic installation 007 ELEMENTS which is dedicated to James Bond, opened on the Gaislachkogl in Sölden in July 2018, 3,040m above sea level. The exhibition shows all of the 24 official James Bond films, with a special focus on Spectre, some sequences of which were shot in Sölden. Among other things, werk5 built the mountain on which the car chase took place out of Corian® in order to trace the meticulous planning of the route with the help of LEDs.

Plan successful exhibitions true to detail in the model

  • During the closure due to construction work, the model was intended to give visitors a first impression of the new building of the Obersalzberg Documentation.

     

  • The permanent exhibition LEVEL GREEN – The Concept of Sustainability of the Autostadt Wolfsburg was designed by J.Mayer.H together with Art+Com Berlin.

     

  • Detailed realisation of the Bertelsmann Foundation premises on a scale of 1:25. You can find more images in the project view.

  • The labyrinthine structure of the colourful exhibition architecture for the Audi Urban Future Award, which sought new ideas for urban developments for life in 2030, was developed by raumlabor and produced by us on a scale of 1:33.

  • The last round is always about the model, so your design must convince from all sides. Increase your chances with an architectural model that underlines the core of your idea with perfect choice of materials and timely execution.

     

  • A new centre for Düsseldorf

    With the completion of the Kö-Bogen in winter 2013, the city received an architectural jewel that will enhance the inner-city structure between Königsallee and Hofgartenstraße.

     

  • A competition to build an architectural model? For the foundation Haus der Geschichte in Bonn, our model builders took up the challenge and realised the ‘Chancellor’s Bungalow’ by Sep Ruf on a scale of 1:87.

     

  • For the competition for the Court of Justice in The Hague, werk5 created two backlit competition models on a scale of 1:500 for Wiel Arets.
    The design was presented once in stainless steel, once in wood and achieved 3rd place.

     

Reaching the goal with models

Exploit your design potential: With form and material studies that lead you to the desired results

  • Sauerbruch Hutton won the competition in the third round with this model. The following process of the design concept was accompanied by various façade models on a scale of 1:20. The result: 23 differently coloured glazes on 36,000 rods, whose colour distribution was determined by hand at Sauerbruch Hutton and whose iridescent appearance has delighted people in Munich ever since.

     

  • The recognisable play of colours by Sauerbruch Hutton Sauerbruch Hutton can also be found in the ADAC headquarters in Munich. Following the 2004 competition model were various façade studies on a scale of 1:20 and 1:50, which accompanied the planning until completion.

  • Finn Geipel and Giulia Andi from LIN designed a steel space framework for the Cité du Design Saint-Étienne that allows for a column-free space. For the development of the new flat building, we produced various presentation and working models.

  • With an overview model on a scale of 1:500 and a sectional model on a scale of 1:200, the contract for the construction of the new football stadium in Bordeaux in 2011 went to Herzog & de Meuron, together with Vinci Construction France.

    For a presentation at the start of construction in Bordeaux, a 1:50 scale cutaway model provided an impressive view of the elegant building, which was completed in 2015.
