Not transportable and yet so monumental that it gets a place in the House of Bavarian History Regensburg: The tomb of the last prince abbot of St. Emmeram, Coelestin II Steiglehner. Therefore, it was digitised by means of a 3D scan, reduced in size by 15% and then milled from PU block material.
Block material for any shape
We have already milled half a crocodile out of PU block material, then painted and exposed it as a tactile exhibit with audio feedback to the hands of numerous visitors at trade fairs. Still flawless, crocodile “Wilhelmine” is a good example of the versatility of the material, with which we can produce any 3D shapes, sculptures, topography models or casting moulds.
All advantages at a glance:
- densities from 80-1600kg/m³
- different block sizes
- high level of detail
- CNC processing
- sanding and painting for a perfect finish
- ideal as negative mould for casting patterns and forming tools for deep drawing processes
- durable
