Who determines which stories we tell ourselves?

How does the predominantly male historiography look at the role of important women? Lisa Ertel und Anne-Sophie Oberkrome gave shape to the questions about the sovereignty of interpretation of history. Inspired by the fate of Aggripina, the founder of Cologne, whose statues were destroyed by her son Nero and who is denounced by male historians as a bloodthirsty ruler, the “Throne Pina” was created.
The designers combined marble – the stone of gods and rulers of Rome – with Corian®, which is a mineral material that looks and feels almost like marble. The material was thermally shaped into the desired form in our workshop – this is just one of the many advantages that Corian Design by DuPont has in store for designers.

“Throne Pina” was shown in Cologne from 17.-23. Januaray 2022 as part of the group exhibition Multilogue.
