The LUX Audience Award 2022 goes to… Quo Vadis, Aida?
The European Parliament has announced the winner of the LUX Audience Award 2022 during a ceremony in Strasbourg. The film “Quo Vadis, Aida? ” by Jasmila Žbanić prevailed, making it the second recipient of the newly created pan-European prize, which is awarded by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy in cooperation with the European Commission and the Europa Cinemas network.
President Roberta Metsola presented the LUX Audience Award 2022, saying: “The European Parliament stands clearly for freedom of expression in film, for directors, storytellers and authors alike. The LUX Audience Award builds bridges between our political work and the creative work of filmmakers in Europe […]”
The organisers also praised the trophies: “We would like to sincerely thank you for the beautiful trophies, they were absolutely stunning, congratulations!”
