The cinematic installation 007 ELEMENTS which is dedicated to James Bond, opened on the Gaislachkogl in Sölden in July 2018, 3,040m above sea level. The exhibition shows all of the 24 official James Bond films, with a special focus on Spectre, some sequences of which were shot in Sölden. Among other things, werk5 built the mountain on which the car chase took place out of Corian® in order to trace the meticulous planning of the route with the help of LEDs.

The exhibition at Haus der Kunst on David Adjaye’s career explored over 30 projects through drawings, models, installations and fragments of materials.
The Ghanaian-British artist’s architecture is strongly aligned with place, task and identity. Architectural models for the exhibition include the projects ‘SUGAR HILL’ in New York, the ‘NATIONALMUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE’ in Washington and the ‘AÏSHTI FOUNDATION’ in Beirut.
When everything fits
For the planning of the particular complexity of the buildings, the penchant for perfectionism was an advantage for master model maker Sabrina Iglesias: “One of the architectural models for David Adjaye has been my favourite piece for a long time because it was constructively challenging and the model was almost perfect in the end: all edges were closed, the paint had no inclusions, the components fitted without any problems…A dream!”
Full size effect
In addition to an architectural model on a scale of 1:50, we realised a façade panel of the ‘NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE’ in Washington on a scale of 1:1 to show the effect of the rich façade design.
For in the model, as from a distance and in pictures, the form appears closed; only up close one can feel the varying transparency of the façade.
The following models were also created for the exhibition
‘MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART’, Denver
‘CAPE COAST SLAVERY MUSEUM’, Ghana
